Our Rector has released a message on the occasion of March 18th Martyrs’ Day and the 107th Anniversary of Çanakkale Victory. Following is the message of our Rector; "Çanakkale Victory is a unique example of heroism in history, it is the turning point of the revival and awakening. This glorious victory of Turkish nation at the Çanakkale Front is an example for humanity on the way to the independence. We owe it to those who were martyred to defend their homeland in the war. Our nation has come to these days by going through the hoop in history. As a nation, we are the heirs of a solid belief and an the spirit that makes people say, "Çanakkale is Impenetrable" even in times of poverty. Assurance of our future is this spirit today, as it was yesterday. Çanakkale Victory has an important role for our nation, not only as a sacred memory of our past but also as one of the most powerful inspirations for our march to the future. On the anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory, which our beloved nation achieved by giving thousands of martyrs, I commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms and our heroic martyrs with mercy and respect. I express my gratitude to all our veterans.”
