The first of Şırnak University Music Festival has been held within the scope of culture and art activities at our university.Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Mayor Mehmet Yarka, Provincial Police Chief Mustafa Emre Başbuğ, academicians and citizens attended the festival. In his speech he made before the festival held at 15th of July Congress Center of our university, the Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan stated that the city of Şırnak is known for sports, science and music from now on. Emphasizing that Şırnak came to the fore through Cudi Cup Tennis Tournament, he followed as; " From now on, we will talk about good things free from terrorism, with these festivals. We pray from Allah for a good future. From now on, we will have better works". During the festival, fine pieces were performed by the lecturers and music department student choir of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
