2nd International Symposium of the Flood, Noah's Ark and Mount Judi has been held at 15 Temmuz Congress and Culture Center of Our University. In hıs speech, Assoc. Dr. İbrahim Baz, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Symposium to which 49 academicians contributed, stated that the Symposium was held in cooperation with the Governorship of Şırnak, Şırnak Municipality, our University and Şırnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Mayor Mehmet Yarka, the Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan and Chairman of Şırnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Osman Geliş also made speechs in the event which was attended also by Gendarmerie Regional Commander Brigadier General Ali İhsan Ersoy, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Tamer Bilacan, academics and citizens. Following the inauguration speeches, the short film called "The Holy Truth of Judi" was screened. After the film screening, in his presentation on "The Second Step to the Earth: Cudi Mountain and Sefine Festival", Assoc. Dr. İbrahim Baz gave important information about how to go to the Sefine area and where the ship might be seated. The event continued with painting exhibition of “The Flood, Noah's Ark and Mount Judi” prepared by the Faculty of Fine Arts and the distribution of ashura named Şehr-i Nuh. While some academicians attended the symposium of 45 presentations face to face, others were connected to it online. The Symposium continued throughout the day and took place in 4 sessions.
