A conference called “I Know My City” has been organized by the City of Nuh Knowledge and Values Club of our University. General Secretary of our University Assoc. Dr. İbrahim Baz, attending the conference as a speaker, emphasized that Sefine Masjid, the first place of worship of Noah, is a very important center not only for Muslims but also for Jews and Christians.He also followed as; “ Many cities in history were generally built on the banks of rivers and around religious shrines. However, Şırnak was founded and grown around the pavilions of the masters. Şırnak has a history of approximately 400-500 years. Şırnak, together with its districts, is a region with important histories. It has hosted many civilizations since Hz. Noah. Being built by Hz Noah, the Sefine Masjid, which is considered holy in religions of Islam, Judaism and Christianity … As it is known, these three religions regard Jerusalem as holy in the same way. He also underlined that the numerous city-states, statues, engravings, etc. belonging to Assyrian and Elam civilizations, were found on Mount Baz, Cudi and Gabar and stated that historical artifacts have survived to the present day.
