Conference titled “Bektashism from Past to Present” has been held by the Faculty of Theology and Sefine Divan of our university.Ömer Faruk Teber, Dr. Lecturer at Akdeniz Universty Faculty of Theology and Assoc. Prof. Ömer Faruk Teber from Harran Universty Faculty of Theology, attended the conference as speakers. The conference was moderated by Dr. Lecturer Yunus İbrahimoğlu.Our Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Güneş, many academic and administrative staff and also students attended the conference.Making the opening speech of the conference, our Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış underlined that Haci Bektashi Veli is a much-discussed Islamic scholar. In his speech, Porf. Dr. Alkış highlighted the importance of Bektashism.Then the dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Güneş thanked the speakers and all the participants, emphasizing that they organize many scientific events as faculty.Expressing that he came to Şırnak for the first time, Dr. Lecturer Ömer Faruk Teber stated that he liked Şırnak University both in terms of infrastructure and relations and continued his speech on Bektashism.The last speech of the conference was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Kadri Önemli.Following the speeches, our Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış presented a certificate of participation and the publications of our universityto Assoc. Prof. Kadri Önemli and Dr. Ömer Faruk Teber.
