Women and Family Studies Research and Application Center of our University has organized an event on the occasion of October 11 International Day of the Girl Child , which is an internationally recognized day by the United Nations to draw attention and minimize the gender discrimination that girls suffer globally since 2012. Our Rector Prof. Dr. M. Emin Erkan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Derya Yücel, academicians and many students attended the event. In the opening speech of the program, our Rector Prof. Dr. M. Emin Erkan touched upon the global grievances of girls as well as local and regional problems and stated that they have always been a supporter of girls and women, as the university administration.The program ended with question and answer session.
