The Book Fair opened in the indoor gym of our University in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Şırnak Governorship, Şırnak Municipality, our University and Şırnak Culture, Tourism and Promotion Association, has attracted great attention. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan, together with Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Şırnak Mayor Mehmet Yarka and Provincial Director of National Education Ahmet Özdemir, visited the Book Fair, which was visited by more than 2,000 people in 5 days.Our Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan gave information about the publications of our university to Governor Pehlivan and Mayor Yarka, who visited the stand set up to promote our university at the fair. The Governor Pehlivan, who came together with the book lovers at the fair where 50 thousand books belonging to 30 different publishing houses, visited the stands one by one, got information about the fair from the authorities and invited all citizens to the fair. Stating that they will always be a supporter for such organizations, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan followed as; "we organized such an organization to encourage our students and all our people to read books. This is the first fair held in our university, and we promise that we will provide all kinds of support for such organizations". The fair continues until January 2 2022.
