Supported by European Union Grant programs; Dicle Development Agency (DIKA) also provides support as a participant in the “Project of Improving Occupational Health and Safety Conditions of Şırnak Asphaltite Quarries” which will be implemented by our university and Şırnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Mayor Mehmet Yarka,Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan, General Secretary of DİKA Ahmet Alanlı, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Osman Geliş, as well as heads of the relevant public institutions attended the inaugural meeting on " Project of Improving Occupational Health and Safety Conditions of Şırnak Asphaltite Quarries" which was held in the Senate Hall of our University. After the speeches of protocol members, General Manager of Occupational Health and Safety Cafer Uzunkaya and Project Coordinator Vali Ayan also gave explanations and information on raising awareness about occupational health and safety, in their presentations.
