Governor of Şırnak Ali Hamza Pehlivan, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan and many guests have attended the opening of the workshop of Hayal-Abdi Erkan couple, who make homemade Menengiç coffee in Balveren town of Şırnak and started mass production with the support of KOSGEB. Şırnak Governor Pehlivan, who opened the business, wished the couple good and fruitful earnings. After the opening, the guests visited the workplace, examined the products and received information about the coffee making process. Hayal-Abdi Erkan couple, who sell menengiç coffee to many cities of Turkey and Iraq, stated that they made manual production in their own facilities and at home in the first period, and then they wanted to open a workshop and followed as; "We applied to KOSGEB for this and we got 3 machines by confirming our KOSGEB request. Now our production has increased and we sell the menengiç coffee to both Iraq and many cities of Turkey.”
