The project which is developed by Şırnak University and Dicle Development Agency (DİKA) under the coordination of the Governorship of Şırnak within the scope of the 2020 Social Development Support Program (SOGEP) carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology under the General Directorate of Development Agencies , has been signed. Şırnak Municipality is also a project partner of "Women Designing and Producing: A New Model for Employment" project. Mayor Mehmet Yarka, Rector of Şırnak University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan, General Secretary of DİKA Ahmet Alanlı, Şırnak University Faculty Members Tahir Nalbantçılar and Sıdıka Akdeniz, Şırnak Municipality Private Secretary Hazım Üçün and DİKA Provincial Coordinator Murat Katı have participated in the ceremony of the protocol signature which was held between Şırnak Municipality, Şırnak University and Dicle Development Agency (DİKA) under the chairmanship of the Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan in the Governorship meeting room. Textile Workshop, Ornamental Workshop, Jewelery Workshop and Digital Design Workshop are planned to be cereated within the project. Various clothing accessories specific to the region, such as t-shirts, bags and hats are planned to be produced and offered to the use of public institutions on certain special days and weeks in the textile workshop. The products that are planned to be produced will be designed by using 3D printers and various other digital design techniques to reveal the drawing and design abilities of women, in the digital design workshop. Ornamental and jewelery items such as necklaces, rings, earrings and other various decorative objects made of raw stones will be produced in the Ornamental Stone and Jewelry Workshop. In addition, undergraduate and associate degree programs for handicrafts and jewelry design will be founded in Şırnak University in coordination with the workshops to be founded within the scope of the Project. In addition to the workshops, various vocational training and hobby courses will be organized within the body of Şırnak Municipality .
