Our new Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış, who was appointed as the Rector of our University in accordance with the Presidential Decree, took office after the handover process in the Senate Hall.Our New Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış, was welcomed by our former Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Derya Yucel and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şimşek and the General Secretary Assoc. Dr. İbrahim Baz.Speaking at the ceremony, our former Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan wished success in his assignment to our new Rector and expressed that he was confident that he would carry the flag he took over in the best way possible. Stating  that Şırnak University is a complete university in terms of both campus and infrastructure, Our new Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış followed as; "I would like to thank especially to our Honorable President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who deemed me worthy of this duty, and to the founding Rector Prof. Ali Akmaz, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nuri Nas and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan. I will carry out this task assigned to me properly. I would like to thank Mehmet Emin Erkan for his services."
