The premiere of the movie Akif, about Mehmet Akif Ersoy's experiences while writing the National Anthem, has been screened at our university with the participation of the Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu. The Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Mehmet Akif Ersoy's granddaughter Selma Ersoy Argon, Gendarmerie General Commander General Arif Çetin, Chief of Police Mehmet Aktaş, Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Mayor Mehmet Yarka, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan , artists who took part in the film, heads of the institutions and many citizens attended the event organized to premiere of the movie titled Akif. The guests took a souvenir photo with the actors and screenwriter of the movie.
