As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November, a commemoration ceremony has been held on 15 July at the Congress Center.Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan, Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Şırnak Deputy Mayor İhsan Gören, Şırnak Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Murat Bozkurt, Public Prosecutor Emre Bekmezci, Şırnak Provincial Police Chief Cemal Dalman and many women attended the event.Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan and his wife Yıldız Pehlivan presented cloves to the participants in the program, where orange masks were worn to raise awareness by saying "Let's Stop Violence Against Women Together". After the opening speech of V. İlkay Aytekin, Director of the Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, the event continued with the speeches of Vice Rector Pof. Dr. Derya Yücel; Yıldız Pehlivan, Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan and his wife Yıldız Pehlivan.A concert was performed by Assoc. Dr. Arif Möhsunoglu , Assoc. Dr. Günay Tuzkaya and the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
